Is the web site really free for my business? What's the catch? |
|
| |
Yes it is really free . no catch! We are building our network with plans of selling advertising down the road. All we ask is that you share the site with your existing clients so that they may stay updated on changes, events, or promotions at your place of business and so that they can use our site to find other personal services that you do not offer. For example, if you are a salon, make sure they know about Velvetbell.com for finding cosmetic surgeons, personal trainers, or pet sitters.

interating with my customers |
|
| |
I have a customer list, including email addresses. Can I use that list with velvetbell.com? |
|
| |
We can help you interact with your existing customer base via velvetbell.com in just a matter of hours. We will import your list and make your customers instant velvetbell.com members. Once that happens, they will automatically have your business listed as a favorite. This means that every time you post a new event, special & deal, and/or last-minute appointment, your customers will be notified immediately. This feature can greatly reduce the amount of time you spend going through your call/waiting list attempting to reach your customers. Our technical support team will be able to walk you through the process, and there is no technical expertise required in order to make this happen.

Can other businesses use my customer list? |
|

No other businesses will have access to your data/customers. In addition, we do not sell customer information to third-party sources.

How come I cannot find my business when I do a search? |
|
| |
The most likely cause for not finding your business is that you do not have your business service categories defined. Under My Business, go to the Services section and then Service Categories. Select the service categories that you offer and then click Update. Performing this step now tells your customers that you offer these services! |
|
| |
| |
I updated my business listing, but the information didn't save. Why? |
|
| |
After you complete each page, you must select "update" at the top or bottom of the page to save your changes - whether you are entering it for the first time or making edits. |
|
| |
| |
How come my photos won't upload? |
|
| |
They may not be uploading because they are too large. When you upload the photo and select update, see if there is a message at the top that indicates your photo is too large. If that is the case, you can either follow the instructions on the right that says "Need to resize a photo?" or open the photo in the photo editor on your computer to resize it. Most people have software that comes with your computer that allows you to resize images. |
